We have a new daily record of 9 eggs in one day! It is so incredibly cool that I can go out to the barn and pick up fresh eggs. Thank you, Lord! Most of them are such a beautiful, cozy brown. I think I'd like to paint a room that exact color. Recently, Abby and I made our first effort at canning. We have 'put up' what we are calling "5 Alarm Salsa", because it is burn your throat hot! Next we canned some tomatoes and tomato sauce. To can you really need two stove tops and six arms - or your 12 year old daughter!~ Couldn't have done it with out her.
Dan and his dad (with some help from Grandpa Chaffin and Daniel) built the shed for the cows - looks great! I was very happy to pick the color - Barn Red. It's starting to look like a farm.

Well, maybe we calculated wrong on the amount of seeds to add to the salsa!! Oh well. Can't wait until Sept!!!!
